Lindsay also mentions that she plans on staying for a while, but adds that she does not want to ruin Hunter and Olivia's relationship. However, she later tells Olivia that she and Hunter kissed. Lindsay comes to check on Hunter and he apologises for leading her on, before asking her to leave so he can fix his relationship with Olivia. Lindsay runs into Olivia on the beach and implies that she and Hunter did more than just kiss.

Dylan asks Kat out to dinner as friends, but Kat refuses his offer as she is still affected by the abuse she suffered by Dylan. He apologises for his actions and Kat agrees that he should be sorry. Kat and Dylan question Irene Roberts over a piece of Irene's clothing being found at the crime scene but she is then cleared.
Writers created a heart problem story for Irene which occurs after she suffers from stress. Irene endures a painkiller addiction, her relationship with Paris ends and she tries to cope with Tasha Andrews' wayward behaviour. Irene's health deteriorates when she tries to help fellow alcoholic Kit Hunter remain sober.

Kat pays a visit to the judge and blackmails him into confessing that Dylan knew about an affair the judge was having and used that to blackmail him to refuse Zac bail. Kat then takes the judge's statement to Phillip McCarthy who is appalled. McCarthy brings in David Joyce who tells Dylan is suspended until further notice.

When Shane and Angel go through a rough patch, Damian realises he has feelings for her but Angel gently tells him she does not see him like that. She does agree to accompany him to a presentation as his date when he wins a writing award but has to pull out when Shane arranged a date for the same night, although Sarah attends in Angel's place. Damian begins taking French language lessons and finds himself attracted to his tutor Cathy , a married woman whose husband works away as a lorry driver. Damian supports Shane when Tug frames him for burglary and hides him when he escapes from juvenile detention until his name is cleared.
Home and Away's Ash kidnaps and threatens to kill Mick Jennings in dramatic scenes
Mick was dumped in the bush by Ash and left to fend for himself. After falling down a cliff, he was rescued by Hunter, Brody, and Mason who were on a bush walk. Once admitted to hospital, he explained the ordeal to Irene and told her that Ash shouldn’t be looking after his daughter.
Johnathon Hughes of Digital Spy included Tabitha on his list of the "most evil mean girls in soap". Flood's casting was announced on 7 October 2015, while her character was revealed in March 2016. When Flood was offered the role, she was unsure that she could see herself on the show, but thought her character was "really cool" and accepted. She enjoyed filming her guest appearance, commenting, "I loved, loved doing it and would go back there in a heartbeat." Isla Schultz, played by singer Samantha Jade, made her first appearance on 3 March 2016. The character and Jade's casting was announced on 5 September 2015.
A few months later Finlay herself falls pregnant, but assures Irene she will bring up both babies. She returns to town to be with Irene when she gives birth, but her son Paul is abducted only a few hours later. A distraught Irene tells Fin that Paul is nothing to do with her and orders her to go. Michael's son Haydn returns to town and Fin dates him until it is revealed he has a gambling addiction and he temporarily flees town after conning money out of Michael and Pippa. When he returns and tries to mend his ways,Roxy Miller convinces Finlay to give Haydn another chance. Haydn convinces Fin to help him with a plan to win enough money to pay Michael and Pippa back but his horse loses.
While Ash discovered a photo of Luc in Mick’s motel room, VJ found Mick with her at Irene’s house. He visited Irene in hospital, before being kidnapped by Ash at the motel. As night fell, Ash drove out of town with Mick bound and gagged in the boot. Irene arrives in Summer Bay as the alcoholic mother of three children, Nathan, Damian and Fin, being fostered by Pippa Ross.
In the end, Tasha stayed with Irene and Josie backed off once and for all. Mick is Luc's biological father, who raped her mother, Billie before she dated VJ. When Mick returns, he stole Luc from Billie, but returns Luc to Irene, who returns her to Billie. Mick is arrested for kidnapping and the relationship between father and daughter is estranged. When Mick returns to Summer Bay, he finds out that he is truly Luc’s real father and wants custody of her.
